Competition Sled, also known as prowler sled, dog sled or power sled, is a new sled designed for preparation for HYROX® and DEKA® type functional fitness competitions, as well as for general athletic preparation.

The equipment, which can be loaded using discs with a 50 mm diameter hole, is characterised by a 75 cm long loading tube, which allows the insertion of a large number of discs, even thick ones, such as rubber bumper discs.

The wide, heavy frame, which cannot be deformed during exercises, has a double central slot for attaching the 1712 Pulling Rope, and four holes for attaching the R9097 Sled Harness.

The wide, well-finished skids guarantee maximum smooth, constant friction, without jamming.

The following accessories and tools can be added to create a SLED PUSH and SLED PULL station:

• 1712 Sled Pulling Rope – nylon rope, Ø38mm, 15m, 15kg, with carabiner.
• R9097/2 Push Tube – pair of push tubes, Ø49mm, additional to the tubes supplied.

The 9192/RMH EcoGarden Competition Marker synthetic grass track differs from the standard 9192/RM EcoGarden Premium Roll model in length: 17.5 m the Competition, 15 m the standard, and in the type of markers. The Competition model features the two marker lines of 2-meter areas dedicated to the change of direction of the sled in the sled push exercise and the rope pull in the sled pull exercise.

The synthetic grass, color black or green, marker color white, is made using the well-tested EcoGarden Premium 16 mm.

EcoGarden features high resistance to deterioration caused by sports activities, atmospheric agents, UV rays, excessive heat, or low temperatures. Thanks to this remarkable aspect, it can also be installed outdoors, given that, in many cases, outdoor applications are often equivalent to indoor applications.

EcoGarden is easy to install. The rolls are produced with a standard width of 2 meters. The rolls can be easily positioned. Each tile can be fitted together to the others and easily fixed to the existing floor using glue or more simply double-sided adhesive. The latter is the most frequent and recommended solution.

The quality of the polyethylene of the strands can also be appreciated in the coloring process, which always stays bright. In the case of green, it looks incredibly natural. The widespread application of green synthetic grass inside gyms is undoubtedly due to the fresh and natural look that the artificial grass can give to the environment. Moreover, there is also the comfort and satisfaction in functionality, shock absorption, noise reduction, and touch, offered by training on the artificial grass.

The R9097 Sled Harness is an optional accessory to the Competition Sled 9097/2, useful for strength exercises performed based on resisted movement by towing a heavy weight. The 9097/2 sled weighs 35 kg without loaded plates. Alternatively, characterized by a lower weight, 6 kg, the 9097/1 Speed Sled is available.

Pulled running, skipping, prowler, backward walking, are some of the exercises that can be performed by sled equipped with harness.  Note that the advantage given by using a padded harness is that of weight distribution on the shoulders. Conversely, there may be less practicality in performing exercises with side towing, for which the 1697 belt may be more suitable.

R9097 Sled Harness includes an adjustable padded harness equipped with a quick-release plastic buckle and 220-cm-long tow straps, including three carabiners.

Moving the tubular in the frame of the sled is very easy and quick, but a sled equipped with 4 push tubes is certainly more practical during high-intensity workouts and more suitable for physical and technical preparation, for functional fitness competitions such as HYROX® and DEKA®.

By eliminating all the elements intended for the manual pushing, we have obtained an extremely compact, practical, and budgeted price tool.

Max Load data was calibrated to the use on standard sled tracks in synthetic grass. Where the friction coefficient is higher (for example a recycled rubber flooring) the load must be reduced accordingly.

The sleds 9097/2 C.F. Gym Sled and 9097/1 Speed Gym Sled are finished with resistant micaceous paint. Due to the nature of their use, sleds are inevitably subject to scratches, mainly if used outdoors on abrasive surfaces. The parts without paint are, in turn, subject to rusting, especially when used in the open. It is possible, before painting, to treat the products with cataphoresis to make them more resistant.
The optional cost of cataphoresis is 50,00 euro + VAT.
The treatment significantly increases the resistance of the iron and adds durability against wear and tear. Still, it does not make the sled exempt from deterioration deriving from impacts, shocks, and scratches.
