Shoe soles are the enemy of mats, especially when performing exercises that require high grip and thus high friction and abrasion. Recommended models for this kind of situation, which will always result in a high degree of wear, are mats cod. 3024, cod.3025, cod. 0400, cod. 0400/1, cod. 0401. Not recommended are cod. 3016, specifically for use without shoes, cod. 0407. Mats cod. 0403 cod. 0403/1 are short models, created so that the shoes remain outside. So you should try to avoid, as much as possible, contact between mat and shoes to limit wear and tear. All mats are produced through polymers in the rubbery state. Elasticity and softness characterize the different models in various ways, hence the comfort to pleasantness to the touch. The soles of sports shoes are also made through rubbery materials but, due to their function; sports on concrete, asphalt, wood, etc., adopt much harder and abrasive materials. Materials, solutions and thicknesses, unsuitable for making mats. Therefore, shoe soles are inevitably the enemy of mats, especially when performing exercises that result in high grip and thus high rubbing. Mountain climbing-type exercises, for example, will immediately ruin any mat if one does not take care to keep the feet off the tool. It is not a matter of quality, and it is not even a matter of time, but mainly a matter of materials and the way you use them. Any model of mat will exhibit breakage and premature wear and tear if used with footwear and improperly.

Large mat, 1×2 m, made of durable PVC, rollable and non-slip.

Same material, texture, and 6 mm thickness as the Pilates mats, it is a multipurpose mat generically suitable for all kinds of activities, yoga, free body exercises, and also as protection of fitness areas or placement of cardio-fitness equipment, e.g., bikes.

The mat stretches and rolls easily and does not tend to curl, adhering well to the floor.

The Yoga/Pilates Mat 3025 is characterized by its size, 1×2 m, which is significantly larger than a standard fitness mat.

It is made of PVC, the same material, texture, and 6 mm thickness, as Pilates Mat 3024, standard size 173 x 61 cm, while appearing soft and comfortable to the touch, it is durable and not very deformable.

Because of the large size, it can be generically suitable for all kinds of activities and can also be adopted as a protective base where to place equipment dedicated to fitness; equipment to be used free-body, but also cardio-fitness equipment, such as bikes for example.

Cork Mat

Anti-slip, roll-up mat created combining a cork layer with a layer of thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) rubber. The Cork Mat code 3014 is extraordinarily slip-resistant: actually, the wetter it gets, the more it increases its grip on the surface. This feature is optimal for any holistic discipline, with particular reference to Hot Yoga. The rubber part, to be placed in contact with the floor, is purely anti-slip. In contrast, the natural cork part facilitates sliding during position changes while ensuring a fair degree of grip and avoiding excessive slipping situations due to sweating. From this point of view, cork expresses one of its most outstanding qualities because the more it gets wet, the more it increases the grip. Therefore, the mat is excellent in hot yoga and all yoga styles, especially the most energetic and dynamic, Pilates, and in general, in all holistic disciplines.

3014 Cork Mat should be rolled dry, with the cork part facing outwards to prevent premature deterioration. It should not be exposed to the sun for a long time or left in scorching places, for example, in a car, as the cork-rubber combination could be damaged.
The Cork layer is delicate and should be treated with care. Do not use with shoes on.

LANDING MAT– FALL PROTECTION MATTRESS

Landing Mat – Sports mattress for landing and falls, designed for gyms and athletic training areas.

Made of soft high-density polyurethane foam, 25 kg/m³, 240x150x h.15 cm (folded 120x150x h.30 cm), covered with durable PVC, foldable and equipped with handles. It is characterized by its large size combined with excellent portability and ease of use.

It is recommended for those who use climbing ropes and suspension training equipment; flying, rings, hammock, or structures that involve skill exercises, calisthenics exercises. 1000 Support Cushion

SUPPORT CUSHION

The Support Cushion is made of polyurethane foam, covered with PVC. This crunch mat is useful in all applications where it is necessary to count with comfortable support that doesn’t easily deform.
Thanks to the high density of polyurethane, the cushion does not deform even when subject to heavy loads. The abdominal support cushion can be used as lumbar, cervical, or legs/arms support during exercises or treatments. The contoured arch shape allows placing the cushion with maximum adaptability. Support Cushion is also widely used to target upper abs and lower abs. Placed under the lumbar area, it facilitates the lengthening of the rectus abdominis during the AB crunches, sit-ups, and leg lifts. Its compact design and lightweight presentation make it great to travel.

The abdominal workout

The Support Cushion also finds wide use as a tool for performing abdominal training exercises, hence the often-used name Ab Mat (or abdominal support cushion). Placed under the lumbar area, it in fact facilitates the stretching of the rectus abdominis during crunches, performing the function of support for the spine so as to support the physiological lumbar curve. This is an important application, as attempting to restore one curve of the spine can positively affect the proper restoration of all other curves and postural alignment. After all, respecting or restoring the correct conformation of the spine is of great importance, both for well-being and for sports performance.

Other uses of the Support Cushion

Another way to use the Support Cushion can be in the prone position. Resting the chest on the cushion at the height of the xiphoid process of the sternum, align the outstretched arms above the head while also lifting the feet off the floor. The only point of contact will then be that of the chest on the pillow. The exercise is to emphasize movement and especially activation, of the posterior chain in its entirety. The activation will start from the feet, positioned strictly in a hammer position, up to the muscles of the cervical spine.

0405 Big Mat

BIG MAT

Mattress 200×100 H10 cm, made of soft semi-cylinders of polyurethane foam covered with PVC. The idea comes from the use of residual cylinders from the production of Fitness Boxing bags. The Big Mat can be used as a non-jumping exercise mat according to UNI EN 12503-4:2016, or as a work surface for performing exercises in rehabilitation and sports settings, particularly for functional training on an unstable base. The use of polyurethane semi-cylinders as the mattress core, instead of the traditional slabs, creates a slightly irregular, soft surface similar to sand. Combining multiple Big Mat code 0405 can allow the creation of larger unstable paths or areas. Adding proprioceptive cushions such as code 2909 Balance Pad or code 3001 Bump Disc can enrich the variety of unstable supports, diversifying proprioceptive work on the Large Mat.

Since it is soft and irregular, useful as an unstable base, the Big Mat 0405 cannot be classified as a type 3 sports mattress (jumps and landings) according to UNI EN 12503-4:2016, as it does not meet the surface deformation requirement, although it complies with deceleration during impact and elasticity.
