This item represents a significantly better solution from an aesthetic point of view. The cork expresses the image of a natural material, bio-compatible, in harmony with life, which is exceptionally coherent with this type of tool, often used as accessories for holistic disciplines.

There are also technical aspects that justify the realization of fitness tools in cork to be used in contact with the body. The cork, structured in closed cells, has essential qualities: non-toxic, hypoallergenic, odorless, waterproof, compact, resistant, light, durable, and flexible. It is no coincidence that the cork’s classical application is associated with caps for wine bottles.

The cork’s behavior, particularly to sweat, combined with its high waterproof qualities, represents the most exciting and reliable feature when it comes to wetness. This material’s fitness application is excellent due to its hygienic function and that cork does not become slippery. The high grip is indeed an essential quality of these tools, a feature that becomes fundamental in the mat’s case. The Cork Mat code 3014 is exceptionally slip-resistant: the more it gets wet, the more it increases its grip on the surface. Optimal for any holistic discipline, with particular reference to Hot Yoga.

Anti-slip, roll-up mat created combining a cork layer with a layer of thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) rubber. The Cork Mat code 3014 is extraordinarily slip-resistant: actually, the wetter it gets, the more it increases its grip on the surface. This feature is optimal for any holistic discipline, with particular reference to Hot Yoga. The rubber part, to be placed in contact with the floor, is purely anti-slip. In contrast, the natural cork part facilitates sliding during position changes while ensuring a fair degree of grip and avoiding excessive slipping situations due to sweating. From this point of view, cork expresses one of its most outstanding qualities because the more it gets wet, the more it increases the grip. Therefore, the mat is excellent in hot yoga and all yoga styles, especially the most energetic and dynamic, Pilates, and in general, in all holistic disciplines.

3014 Cork Mat should be rolled dry, with the cork part facing outwards to prevent premature deterioration. It should not be exposed to the sun for a long time or left in scorching places, for example, in a car, as the cork-rubber combination could be damaged.
The Cork layer is delicate and should be treated with care. Do not use with shoes on.

Shoe soles are the enemy of mats, especially when performing exercises that require high grip and thus high friction and abrasion. Recommended models for this kind of situation, which will always result in a high degree of wear, are mats cod. 3024, cod.3025, cod. 0400, cod. 0400/1, cod. 0401. Not recommended are cod. 3016, specifically for use without shoes, cod. 0407. Mats cod. 0403 cod. 0403/1 are short models, created so that the shoes remain outside. So you should try to avoid, as much as possible, contact between mat and shoes to limit wear and tear. All mats are produced through polymers in the rubbery state. Elasticity and softness characterize the different models in various ways, hence the comfort to pleasantness to the touch. The soles of sports shoes are also made through rubbery materials but, due to their function; sports on concrete, asphalt, wood, etc., adopt much harder and abrasive materials. Materials, solutions and thicknesses, unsuitable for making mats. Therefore, shoe soles are inevitably the enemy of mats, especially when performing exercises that result in high grip and thus high rubbing. Mountain climbing-type exercises, for example, will immediately ruin any mat if one does not take care to keep the feet off the tool. It is not a matter of quality, and it is not even a matter of time, but mainly a matter of materials and the way you use them. Any model of mat will exhibit breakage and premature wear and tear if used with footwear and improperly.

]]> Cork Roller

Massage roller made in cork and with a cylinder shape. Thanks to its hard and smooth surface, it proves to be incredibly stimulating during the massage of the muscles. The elevated hardness and reduced diameter (10 cm) of this roller make it more challenging than the Eva Polyetilene Massage Roller (model code 2500). The Cork Roller is particularly effective for self-massaging and stretching exercises, useful for muscle relaxation and muscle tension release. The pressure of the weight of the body on the roller determines the compression of the so-called trigger points, which are painful and irritable muscle knots that provoke muscle hypertension. Based on the theories of mechanical treatment through massage, the compression of these knots could neutralize one of the primary sources of pain and causes of muscle hypertension. Hard Massage Ball and Massage Roller are suitable for all the activities aimed at improving muscle functionality, joint mobility, improving posture, and the efficiency and wellbeing of the body.

]]> CORK BALL – Massage Ball Ø 6.5 cm

The code 1274 is the cork version of the Hard Massage Ball code 1275. The ball, with a diameter of 6.5 cm, has been specially designed for self-massage exercises and muscle relaxation.

For the Cork Ball, the same principles apply as for the Cork Roller code 2499: it is indeed advisable to combine these two tools for a complete workout. The pressure of the body weight on the ball, or the roller, determines the compression of the so-called trigger points, irritable and painful muscle knots, from which muscle hypertension can derive. According to the theories of mechanical treatment through massage, the compression of these knots can trigger one of the primary sources of pain and root of muscle hypertension. Hard Massage Ball and Massage Roller find application in activities aimed at improving muscle function, joint mobility, and activities to improve the functional efficiency and well-being of the body. These are the main reason why the use of these tools in athletic preparation is increasing.

Compared to the massage roller, the work performed with the ball is much more precise, deep, and intense. The size of the ball allows us to reach with precision the points to be treated, even the most difficult, and its hardness allows an intense action. The ball deforms very little and, like the masseur’s fingers, can cause a deep stimulation. Stimulation that becomes effective, and at times painful, if the ball is pressed with much weight on it. For this reason, in addition to the floor, it may be appropriate to use on walls or other surfaces for better control of the pressure exerted and better manage the de-stressing movements.
